Own Your Solar Plant: CAPEX Solar EPC
You invest once and own the plant outright. We design it, supply it, build it and commission it, and every unit it generates is yours.
Your plant, your savings, from day one
Under the CAPEX model your organisation pays for the solar plant and owns it. There is no long-term power purchase agreement and no per-unit tariff to a developer: the electricity the plant produces replaces power you would otherwise buy from the grid or from diesel generators.
Arrays Ingenieria delivers CAPEX plants end to end. We are an installation, EPC and civil company: we do not manufacture modules or inverters, so we are free to specify Tier-1 equipment from established manufacturers, or the makes your engineers or lead EPC have approved, and put all our effort into building the plant properly.
What you get
- Site survey, load study and system design
- Tier-1 modules, inverters and balance-of-system equipment
- Civil works as the site needs: pile foundations, RCC, boundary walls and fencing
- Mechanical and electrical installation, earthing and lightning protection
- Support with net-metering, DISCOM and Electrical Inspector (CEIG) approvals, as agreed in the contract scope, plus testing and commissioning
- Handover documentation, and O&M support if you want it
Why businesses choose CAPEX
Owning the plant often gives the lowest lifetime cost of power, because no developer margin is built into a tariff. The real result depends on your finance cost, tariff, roof or land, and how well the plant is maintained. A business that owns the plant may also claim accelerated depreciation under the Income Tax Act, which lowers tax in the early years; check the current rate with your tax adviser.
Which Model Suits You?
An honest comparison. We build on the CAPEX model; if you prefer OPEX, the developer you sign with can still engage us to build the plant.
| CAPEX (you own) | OPEX / RESCO (developer owns) | |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront investment | You pay for the plant | None; the developer invests |
| Who owns the plant | You, from commissioning | The developer, for the contract term |
| What you pay afterwards | No per-unit tariff; you bear upkeep, insurance and any loan repayments | A per-unit tariff for many years |
| Lifetime savings | Often higher: savings are not shared with a developer, but depend on finance and upkeep | Usually lower: the tariff includes the developer's return |
| Tax benefit | Accelerated depreciation for businesses | Goes to the developer |
| Best for | Organisations with capital or bank finance | Organisations that cannot invest upfront |
| Arrays Ingenieria's role | Your EPC contractor, end to end | Installation & EPC partner to the developer |
