Balaji Action Buildwell, Sitarganj: Solar I&C, BOS and Civil Works
Installation & commissioning, balance-of-system works, civil works and approvals on Balaji Action Buildwell's solar project at Sitarganj, Uttarakhand, for Tata Power Solar.
About the Balaji Action, Uttarakhand project
The orders describe the project in more than one way, and we show each scope as it was ordered rather than adding the figures together: rooftop BOS services for a project of 4000.32 kWp, installation & commissioning of a sheet-roof plant described as 3 MWp, and civil works with pile foundations for a ground-mount plant also described as 3 MWp.
Tata Power Solar's 2022 orders also covered a labour colony for the site crew and the CEIG approvals for the project.
Further orders in 2023 covered additional I&C work, an ITB canopy, additional cable trays, fire extinguishers and sand buckets, and cable lugs: the details that take a large plant from installed to inspected and handed over.

Challenges and How We Handled Them
Roof and ground on one site
A large sheet-roof plant and ground-mount civil works meant two very different jobs, height work and piling, on one industrial campus.
A camp for the crew
With a large crew on site for months, a proper labour colony was part of the scope: decent living conditions are part of working safely.
Approvals as part of the job
CEIG approvals for the project were in our scope, so inspection was planned into the schedule rather than added at the end.
