About the SRMB Steel, West Bengal project
In 2022 Tata Power Solar placed orders with Arrays Ingenieria for the installation & commissioning of the 1895.4 kWp sheet-roof plant and of the 1060 kWp Phase 2 plant, and for the rooftop BOS services of the 1.69 MWp Phase III.
The scope ran from earth pits and equipment foundations to module mounting structures, cabling, testing and commissioning, followed by the module cleaning service and the cable glands and lugs for each phase in 2023.

Challenges and How We Handled Them
Steel-plant roofs
Steel-plant sheds are high, hot and busy. Lifting material safely to the roof, lifelines and skylight protection came before any module went up.
Phase after phase
Three phases on one campus over two years meant matching each new phase to the earlier ones, from string layouts to labelling.
Cleaning built in
Industrial dust makes cleaning essential, so the module cleaning system was installed and commissioned with the plant.
